Biography

Liyana Helmy Had has forged a successful career in investment banking, drawing on a strong academic foundation and practical experience. After completing her A-Levels at Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM), where she benefited from a supportive environment, she pursued Actuarial Science at City University London. Graduating with First Class Honours, Liyana initially considered a career in actuarial work but soon shifted to investments, inspired by her mother’s work in finance. Starting as an analyst at the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), she transitioned to J.P. Morgan, where she has risen to Associate, navigating high-stakes deals and complex transactions.

As a KYUEM alumna, Liyana’s journey highlights the college’s impact on shaping resilient, high-achieving individuals. Her time at KYUEM helped her develop a disciplined work ethic and a network of lasting friendships.
